This brings Capture One’s perspective controls up to speed with Lightroom’s. More important than that, though, is that the Guides panel now has an Auto button, which can correct vertical convergence, horizontal convergence or both, automatically. Just found something that I can reproduce and that one might call a bug. These now have a new panel with two tabs for Guides and Sliders, for visual and numerical adjustments respectively. platypus (Canon & Mac (Intel and M1)) May 23, 2023, 1:09pm 1. The key feature in this update is the improvement to Capture One’s perspective, or ‘Keystone’ controls. Three-minute videos to get started with your software, step by step. When using Topaz Labs AI or DxO PhotoLab in my photography workflow things are greatly sped up when I attach my MacBook Pro to an external Vega 64 eGPU. There’s nothing as fast, which creates anything like the DxO quality of output on large volumes of high ISO photography (sports photographer).Ĭareful about even trying Nik 6 as Nik installations don’t co-exist well, as it’s even a battle to hang on to your preferences (mostly custom presets) when upgrading and downgrading. The recent work improving local adjustment masking and the repair tools have even stopped me looking over the fence. That said, DxO PhotoLab is now my core tool for image processing, including local adjustment and repair work.

A photographer could use almost any RAW developer to prepare TIFF files for Silver Efex (the incoming TIFSS only need to be neutral renderings with a full tonal gamut). For BW photography, Nik Silver Efex Pro is stronger than DxO PhotoLab. For fast and fluid file management, DxO PhotoLab 6 has you covered. The only caveat is that you are not primarily a BW photographer. For non-workflow photo editing software, Adobe Photoshop is the undisputed best application, with an unmatched and ever-increasing set of state-of-the-art image editing tools. I’d prefer to get PhotoLab instead of Nik&DPR…but wait until the autumn and winter discounts come up.
